This week, Jenny from Union, Missouri, shares how Initial Outfitters is a family business. With support from her husband and children, along with her the sisters she’s made through her three years with IO, Jenny shares her IO story with you!
My commission has been used for so many things over my three years with Initial Outfitters. I was able to use my commission, four months after starting with IO, to take my husband on an amazing 15-year wedding anniversary trip to the Baja Sur in Mexico. Most often I am blessed to use it to pay for the extras for my children. The things that really put a family budget in a crunch when they come up like sports, swim lessons, team uniforms, team shoes, etc. I have also enjoyed having the extra funds to be able to give back when the need arises locally with a child or family.
Initial Outfitters is very family oriented. That does not mean you have to have a family to join, but if you need some more sisters??? Oh, have we got some amazing, uplifting, giving sisters of our own to share with you. I have never been a part of something that seems like home when I go to corporate events. Teams that share openly with other teams, laughing, talking, and giving of each other. All trying to build each other up to be the best we can be.
IO has been such an important part of my life for the last three years. It is such a blessing to have an older daughter that really loves to show off her IO pretties and comment when she sees others wearing IO out and about. My daughters have gotten to see that Mommy has chosen the best fun-time job she could to pay for the things our family’s needs, and we all get to reap the benefits. My daughters both help put labels on catalogs, postcards and put together hostess packets. My husband truly appreciates when I have a party and uses that time to have one-on-one time with his girls. He also is the biggest supporter of my business. (He enjoys the trips too!)
I don’t know that I can name just one of the most fun things I’ve got to do with the help of IO! In the Dominican Republic, I went zip lining through the jungle. In the Bahamas, I went snorkeling in the Bermuda Triangle. Most of all I have met some of the most amazing women that just LOVE to show love and support to other women. And our founders and co-founder, I don’t know how to put it any other way than family. They are like family…. Mine, and they could be yours too.
