Warranty, Returns, and Exchanges
Initial Outfitters warrants to consumer purchasers and users of the product that it will be free of manufacturing defects for a period of 90 days from the purchase date. This warranty does not include damage to product resulting from accident or misuse. Personalized or custom-made items may not be returned for replacement, except in cases of manufacturer defect or production error.
Although we strive to provide the most consistent handmade items possible, there will be variations in size, shape, and color of handcrafted items. These variations cannot be considered manufacturers defects. Except as expressly stated herein, Initial Outfitters makes no warranty or representation as to the merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, workmanship or any other warranty concerning any product or service purchased from or through Initial Outfitters.
Initial Outfitters reserves the right to thoroughly examine each returned product. Items with normal wear-and-tear, and items determined to be within normal variation standards will not be refunded, replaced, or exchanged. Consultant will be contacted to discuss the return under these circumstances. Normal wear and tear can be defined as, but is not limited to:
- Items becoming scratched or dented
- Sterling silver tarnishing (restore finish with a polishing cloth)
- Jump rings opening or becoming loose over time (repair with jewelry pliers)
Return Authorization numbers must accompany each item returned for replacement.Initial Outfitters is not responsible for any products which are lost or stolen, after delivery. From time to time, due to circumstances beyond our control, items may be discontinued from the Initial Outfitters line with no advanced notice. Initial Outfitters has no responsibility for any orders taken for these items by independent consultants, before or after notification is given.
Eligible items may be returned to Home Office, in “like-new” condition, within 90 days of purchase. Customized and/or personalized items are not eligible for refund, provided they are made to the manufacturer’s specifications. Please note: Host Credit holds no cash value, therefore items redeemed with Host Credits may not be refunded. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
All returned products will be reviewed to determine if a replacement or repair is necessary. Changes to the personalization on the replacement product are not allowed – must match the original order.
Only non-personalized items may be Exchanged. Eligible items may be returned to the Home Office, in “like new” condition, within 90 days of purchase. Sender is responsible for all shipping costs.
Return Shipping Charges
A $7.00 return shipping & handling fee will be charged for Exchanges (non-personalized items only) and for products which are repaired or replaced outside of the warranty period. No shipping fee applies for items replaced or repaired due to manufacturer defect or production error.
